Basildon Peta, a correspondent for the The Independent, was arrested today under Zimbabwe's new Public Order and Security Act and held overnight. He's charged with convening a demonstration against the new media laws without police permission. Peta has been pushing at Mugabe for quite some time, and expected to be arrested.
